Reminiscing Random Moments with Nature
"He was born in the summer of his 27th year, coming home to a place he'd never been before."
.
.
I'm in love with this line from John Denver's "Rocky Mountain High". This song is like a love letter from the cosmos.
.
.
It was my 27th year when I discovered the high. The Mountain High. A place where I can cope with the world, away from the world. A place that demands that I leave behind all that is immaterial. Where the crickets and the rainfall can lull my damned, graceless heart to sleep. The thick, untamed forest - even the treacherous boulders - becomes a cradle to my spent soul. Where I can take pleasure on every labored breath. Shed the weight of every frustration, every unanswered question, as I climb. Where I can celebrate my struggles, my pain, on every assault. Be elated by my victory against myself. Where I can look at a wondrous, unspoiled world and see it staring back at me.
Shalom everyone!
