1. What is Lupus SLE?
Systemic Lupus Erythematosus is a Chronic Disease that can affect various parts of the body. Is an autoimmune condition, means that your body's immune system attacks your own tissues as though they were foreign. This can lead to pain, swelling, and damage to organs such as the kidneys.

2. What causes Lupus SLE?
The cause of Lupus is not Known, but can be a result from a combination of:

  • Genetics
  • Environmental Factors
  • Hormones

3. What are the signs or symptoms?
This condition can affect almost any part, organ or system in the body.
but the most common symptoms are:

  • Fatigue.
  • Weight loss.
  • Muscle aches.
  • Headaches.
  • skin rashes.
  • Fever.
  • Joint pain.

4. how is this diagnosed?
To diagnose lupus Doctors will do physical exam, and learn about your symptoms, blood and urine test. if this is not clear enough to determine that you have Lupus, they will do additional test such like: Complete blood count (CBC)
Erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR)
Blood chemistry.
Complement level test.
Antinuclear Antibody Test (ANA)
Anticardiolipin antibody test (blood clots)
and also a Biopsy if the skin or kidneys are affected.
