Anyhooo... that's a bit of what I do to protect my emotional well-being.

And I've talked with three good souls, who I trust, who are also working personal growth and are also not afraid to talk honestly, about the less shiny stuff, in the last two days. ^{Invaluable for emotional well-being for humans!}

Not everbody who says they're your friend is your friend! Not every family member, who tells you they love you, actually does have your best interests at heart! Not everybody, who says they'd like to help you, is doing this for your benefit!

There's this weird thing called "human nature", you know. Although I've begun to call it something else now. Not sharing, yet, as my intellectual property keeps being (mis)-appropriated. Flattering, but also dangerous for folks in recovery.

Human nature. The survival instinct. And not a one of us is immune to our unconscious fears and/or "shadow selves". Mmmmkay? As it is. As it is.

But still... It is what it is.

So please try to not take things personally when folks are acting out their own trauma and reactions; and look after yourself while they figure their shit out! :D
