Saturday jazzy jam
I’m back in more ways than one after what I’m starting to believe might have been a bit of a mild case of depression. It was fed by some bad energy and that killed my creativity.
So today I dusted off the Ableton move and recorded this. No samples here the beats are all mine recorded using dubbing and retrospective record so I basically don’t hit the record pattern, just build beats, bass lines, melodies and copy some to another clip, delete some elements, dub over the top and then open another track find a flute sound and improvise on top.
All of this from this piece of hardware. I can sync it into the Mac later and polish it, create an arrangement there, record and master.
I felt a bit jazzy today. Think I’ve sorted my stupid head out and shall focus on music writing again. Might work towards a release for Bandcamp and plenty more for Blocktunes. A version of this will land there at some point.
