Beta testing: Sessions
I recently bought Sessions, a versatile app available for both iOS and Mac. This means you can explore VST plugins or AUv3 on your mobile devices. While it’s not a full DAW, it’s more of a recording or live performance tool. A standout feature is its always-on record audio tool, like a continuous tape recorder. Load your instrument plugins, connect a controller keyboard and play. You can also add effects, with an audio chain similar to Ableton where you can stack effects.
The current beta introduces Midi plugin compatibility, a significant step forward. I’ve been experimenting with it on my iPad.
In the screenshot, you can see that I’ve included one of my current favourites - https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/inky-auv3/id6758839326 - great for chord progression experimentation and performance through any instrument.
At the bottom is the audio tape, recording everything I generate or play.

I’ll create some videos and audio soon!
