Redemption

I chose the path
Of vengeance and destruction
And I lost my soul
With the choices that I made

I sought redemption
In the strangest of places
I took to drinking, smoking, and drugs
But the deeper I sought it the more I sank

And into the abyss
I constantly sank
Into oblivion
I was gradually sucked in

For I was haunted
By the choices that I made
And beyond redemption
Said a voice inside me

But today I’m redeemed
And my soul emancipated
And a new path I walk
To the glory of The Almighty.
