Primping in the rain
Hello everyone, another day here, sharing with you. This time I want to show you some photographs that I took of a pigeon while it was grooming itself in the rain.
A few weeks ago during a rainy day while I was at home, when passing in front of the window that overlooks the terrace, I noticed that there was a pigeon perched on the bars of the railing.
After a few seconds observing her, I decided to go for my camera and take advantage of the scene to take some pictures of her, and continue to observe her behavior more closely.
Some birds, such as pigeons, take advantage of the rain to groom their feathers and eliminate parasites, in addition to keeping their feathers in good condition, in this way they try to get rid of parasites, such as mites and lice.
The pigeon remained in the same place grooming itself in the rain for a few minutes, and despite the fact that at times it rained heavily, it seemed not to bother it.
