ChiFiBots Officially Builds on the Stacks Protocol

Hello Hivians,

It's with great pleasure the NFT Studios team can officially announce we are building ChiFiBots: Trading Card Game, on the Stacks Protocol.

Stacks is a layer 2 built on top of the most secure blockchain in the world, Bitcoin.

What is Stacks?

Stacks uses a unique "proof of transfer" consensus to secure the Stacks network. Users may choose to stake their Stacks tokens and earn a yearly bitcoin yield of 8%

Stacks uses it's smart contract language "clarity" to give the Bitcoin network the ability to mint NFT's, create DeFi applications, and other dApps that previously weren't capable on Bitcoin.

Why Stacks?

There's many reasons why Stacks was ultimately chosen. Our first interaction with them was at their Bitcoin Unleashed event in Miami earlier this year. We were thoroughly impressed by: the atmosphere, the event, and most importantly the development that the community were building on Stacks.

Stacks being a top 100 coin, they had a great grants program and accelerator systems for those accepted into the program to build on Stacks.

We love the idea of bringing NFT's into the most secured blockchain ever in Bitcoin.

Seeing the opportunity to build Stacks' first Play & Earn NFT trading card game made us very excited to also test out the microblocks and hyperchain transactions via ChiFiBots. A huge scaling solution that's currently being tested on Hiro.

We understand the Hive community would like to keep everything in the Hive ecosystem but seeing the positive effect that @leofinance had to introducing Hive members to the Binance Smart Chain, Metamask, and the Polygon Network. We strongly feel the community will benefit from discovering another great network outside of Hive.

Wen Mint?

That's the golden question we've been wondering all year. It's been a very long road to building a marketplace and the layout of the cards and the marketplace itself.

We can announce that our current roadmap features integration of Stacks wallets into ChiFiBots, Being able to mint ChiFiBot NFT's on Stacks, and a simple PVP mode for ChiFiBots.

The current pack order is as follows:

1. Day One
2. Base Set
3. Promo Packs
   

Above is the 4 different rarities of the cards of ChiFiBots, and also the foil variants.

We are also looking at releasing the promo ChiFiBots: "Hive Power", "Beta Bot", and the last promo "Stacks" - a bit earlier so backers can play them in the Classic Mode.

But rest assured, you'll be able to mint your NFT packs in 2022 and play PVP with them.

What's Next For ChiFiBots?

We will post our "Draw Hive Power ChiFiBot" competition post tomorrow. Nothing will make us more happier than someone from Hive draw the Hive exclusive ChiFiBot. They'll be HBD and packs for the eventual winner.

A more in depth game development post will also be in the works. What we've realised is putting "MVP complete" on roadmap may take multiple months, so we want to focus on the smaller updates on a more frequent basis.

There's also a strong possibility that we will return to "Dygycon 10" at the end of July as well.
