Destiny 2: 30th Anniversary Pack

The developer Bungie took some time to focus on the new expansion of Destiny 2 which meant that the time between official storyline expansion were very long to end 2021. However, as Bungie celebrated their 30 year anniversary, they dropped a fun side expansion for its community. The expansion was not free but had something for everyone.

Most of the hype was around by one of the community’s favorite exotic rocket launcher from the first game, Gjallarhorn. They made it a short and fun quest although somewhat challenging for those of us that have continued to lose friends online to other games. It took me months to finalize the quest but it was a great experience for me considering the lore and history behind the game.

They also brought a new space called Eternity which was tied to a new cooperative mode called Dares of Eternity. They have been fun for a bit but given the grind needed to achieve triumphs, it was unfortunate to see they took the repetitive approach like the past to get things done. While the activity has randomness and uniqueness, it is tough for it to be different when it is needed to be done so many times. However, it was a great bridge to the new expansion in 2022!
