Cairo Egypt 1991
The view from our Pension accommodation in Cairo. I had flown in from Nairobi in Kenya the plane landed in Sudan the airport on the way, presumably to pick up people, we were not aloud off the aircraft, there seemed to be damaged and bullet holes covering the Khartoum airport, it did not look like a particularly safe place. Cairo on the other hand seemed amazing.
Back in the day I think this was the main Museum in Cairo. I do not have any photos all the incredible things they had inside. I am so fascinated by history now always trying to take it all in but back then I was just on the go all the time.

The Khan El-Khalili market Cairo market near our accommodation, where I learned to haggle. I was heading to Europe next and needed a good jacket. Every day I would visit the same stall and trying for a cheap price. It took 3 or 4 days of visiting of haggling for the same item before they must have got sick of seeing me and I got the jacket.Leave Cairo Egypt 1991 to:
