Left in Awe in Naga, Cebu

One of the famous places people flocked into last Christmas holiday was City of Naga, Cebu. Posts about the place have been circulating and trending on social media because of its spectacular Christmas decorations, which keep buzzing especially at night, and taking the social media spotlight.

Since my residence is too far from Naga, I couldn't witness how dazzling the place was at night. I wouldn't risk the safety, time, and travel. But I was thinking, I'd still want to go there to see how the place looks like a paradise even in the daytime.

Days before the classes resumed after the holiday vacation, I was caught by fever and colds, unexpectedly. We were thinking of postponing the travel to Naga but I couldn't find another date to finally push it through. Even if I was feeling tired and weak, we went there after we purchased something for our little home.

City of Naga is a fifth class component city in the province of Cebu.

NAGA BOARDWALK

It was restored after typhoon Odet brought so much chaos and destruction to the area. It was 2 in the afternoon when we got there, so the sun was blazing hot.

There were a couple of visitors like me around the place. The sun was unbearably hot so I took shade on a small tree with my facemask and jacket on.

The sea breeze was so strong that even if it was too hot, there were still people spending time there, enjoying the view of the vast ocean.

Naga Boardwalk is spacious and because of its view, no wonder it will be crowded when people flock here, especially at night.

NAGA PARK

It looks like it is Disney-themed. There were little castles surrounding the area. At the center was a big Christmas tree standing tall and at the center of the park held the entire castle.

The colors were vibrant and I could already imagine how magical this place looked at night. I think they will hold shows at night because large projectors were placed at each side in front of the backdrop which is the whole castle.

Even if it was a blazing hot afternoon, there were still people roaming around the area, couples sitting close to each other, kids running and a family eating their afternoon snacks.

VIBRANT ROSES

I think this is the main highlight of the place. There were hundreds of roses in white and red colors making the area a lot more attractive and Instagrammable.

When I went there, there were no people taking pictures, maybe because the sun showed no mercy. There were food stalls around the area and people were taking the littlest shade they could get from a couple of trees in the place. My introverted self was too shy and lazy to take photos of how extravagantly the decoration looked because of the weather. But I managed to get some decent photos, justifying I was there, I enjoyed the place, and I love every angle of it.

Naga still looks amazingly beautiful even in the daytime.
