Cucumbers — Pepinos (ENG/SPA)

This photo is my entry in the Qurator’s Photo Quest of this week, the topic is cucumbers. The rules of the contest can be read here.

When the theme of the contest was announced and I read it, I said “quite strange topic”. And I thought about how to make a photo in this topic, which is not easy. I decided to go to the local grocery store and see if I could take a photo of reasonable quality. I took more than a dozen photos (with my smart phone). After checking them I selected the image that show, because the lines and textures give a reasonable composition.

I also show the black and white version of the photo.

The photo was taken with the camera of a Samsung Galaxy S20 and edited with Gimp.

Con esta foto estoy participando en el concurso fotográfico de esta semana organizado por @qurator, cuyo tema es pepinos. Los reglas del concurso se encuentran en este enlace.

Cuando leí sobre el tema del concurso de esta semana me llamo la atención por lo inusual y sabía que no iba ser fácil componer una foto en este tema. Luego de pensar al respecto decidí ir al supermercado local y ver si lograba una imagen razonable sobre este tema. Tomé mas de una docena de diferentes fotografías con la cámara de mi celular/móvil. Luego al revisarlas decidí seleccionar la que muestro en esta oportunidad, por las lineas y texturas que dan una composición razonable.

También muestro la imagen en formato blanco y negro.

Las foto fue tomada con la cámara de un Samsung Galaxy S20 y editada con Gimp.
