Hive Open Mic Week 118 || Love truely does hurt || An Adele cover
I can't lie, I struggled making this video. I'm just recovering from another illness and this one came with the weather. My voice isn't at a 100% either. I chose this song because I felt Adele pretty much has the "love hurts" theme covered in the music industry. In this song she talks about how heart broken she that her former lover had moved on and how even though it hurts, she refuses to hold a grudge. Losing people we love can be hard but its important we do not lose ourselves in the process
The Lyrics;
You know how the time flies
Only yesterday was the time of our lives
We were born and raised in a summer haze
Bound by the surprise of our glory days
I hate to turn up out of the blue, uninvited
But I couldn't stay away, I couldn't fight it
I had hoped you'd see my face
And that you'd be reminded that for me, it isn't over
Never mind, I'll find someone like you
I wish nothing but the best for you, too
"Don't forget me, " I begged
I remember you said
"Sometimes it lasts in love, but sometimes it hurts instead"
