More time needed for Bitizens: Expedition

Software development studio BitGuild is taking more time to implement the new 'Expedition' system into its online Bitizens game. In an official statement to team told fans that it needs to polish the mode more, in order to live up to players' expectations. Expeditions is meant as a core mode for Bitizens.

Bitizens: Expeditions should provide gamers with a way to acquire new items for their Bitizens. The game will get all kinds of new locations to travel to. This is the game's version of what often is referred to as 'mining'. Thanks to the ERC-998 token standard clothing and items for the virtual characters will be more elusive, rare, and fully tradeable.

Bitizens is a virtual world that will cover a wide variety of virtual activities. People can create their own virtual characters and live in a virtual city called Bitropolis. There aren't many activities yet, but the team introduced a fishing game in October. By catching a variety of fish, players can earn in-game rewards or amount of the cryptocurrency PLAT.

Ultimately Bitropolis should become a virtual and playful representation of the real world, with all kinds of activities to spend or earn PLAT. Social interactions within the game world are being planned, but the team at BitGuild Studio is not talking about this yet. The upcoming update will include social sharing options, to post on Twitter or Facebook for example.
