Bodbe, St. Ninos Monastery
St. Nino Monastery is located in the village of Bodbe, in the Sighnaghi region(Kakheti).
The history of this monastery is connected with the adoption of Christianity.
Legend says, after the adoption of Christianity, King Miriani had a dream, 4 stars flew across the four mountains of Georgia, as they said one of the rays was near Bobde. Nino went there to put a cross on that place. She lived in a tent, where she died. She was buried in the place where her tent was. Monastery was built on the site of tent ( Its was beginning of IV century)
