Permaculture Playing Cards: Greywater
Y'all don't forget the CONTESTS built into this series. One SBI for a name, five for the needle! That makes thirty one shares for the series if someone claims the prize before the post pays out.
Congrats, @senstless for finding the needle on the Rhubarb card!
On to today's featured permaculture tidbit!
Greywater!
Speaking of closing a waste loop... Wow, what a big step! Toby Hemenway dedicated a long chapter in Gaia's Garden to greywater systems. To me they sounded complex, but this card makes them seem pretty simple. Of course, you can fit a lot more information on a page than a card.
It'd be like having your own little water recycling center. How much more green could you be?
I think you'd have to probably start using earth-safe soaps for whatever process you ran into the system, as most modern detergents are pretty nasty. Thinking about water and it's importance really makes me question a lot of the things I currently do.
Maybe a greywater system is something for me to look into a little deeper. You know. For the bees.
Be blessed.
Be fruitful.
Stay relevant.
Nate.
