I dreamt about you last night,
you were by my side,
your warm body next to me,
your presence, your energy, divine

I was wrapped around you,
your arms holding me tight
like an armor that shield me
from the world
and there, it was just you and me.

I couldn’t care about the cold night
all it matters were our bodies,
it was all we needed.

Somewhere, between my couch
and the back seat of your car,
my new leather boots lay abandoned
forgotten, unimportant.
I floated by your side and
never once touching the ground.

The hum of the street outside your car,
was the soundtrack of our voyage,
Our conversation so low,
sounded like a whisper between us.
