Andy Warhol Museum
Had the chance to go to the Andy Warhol museum in downtown Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. There are 7 floors (floor #2 was being redone) to see.
One of the most interesting things there was how Mr Warhol made art out of video. He would sit someone on front of a video camera and shoot for long periods of time.
His idea was, when people attend a movie at a theater the main character is the one people want to see, so why not just show the main character and allow viewing of that 1 character for a long time.
One such video documented a lover of his sleeping for 5 hours and 20 monutes. Another video showed a man smoking a cigar and making different expressions for 99 minutes.
One famous video showed Andy Warhol eating a Whopper and is 4 minutes and 20 seconds long.
