This is one of the iconic building of Mumbai city. It's the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus in short called as CSMT station. I have written about this building before and shared some pictures in a different light, so I am very briefly going to write about it. Previously the name of this station was Victoria Terminus. It was built during the British period and had a British name. In 1996 the name was changed. Till date a lot of people call it in short VT station.

Last evening I was returning from my Lonavala home, and I decided to take the train. Normally I take a cab, but this time I had no luggage and also the cab gets expensive every time, so I decided to take the train. The last time I had taken I did not have a very pleasant experience, because the train was delayed by an hour and then it disembarked at one station before the final destination where I had to get off. It became almost midnight and a lot of hassle reaching home. The journey of 2 hours ended up with 4 hours, so I was hesitant. I thought of trying it out once more and thankfully this time the journey was peaceful.

At night time the building looks gorgeous with the different colored lights. It's a magnificent structure, the exteriors and the interiors both.

Last night was also full moon, I did not realize but the moon was exactly in the center of the dome and got captured very well. It was only later when I was reviewing the pictures I realized.

This is another building opposite the Terminus, it is also a Government building, again built in the time of Britishers, which you can make out from the structure.

A lot of tourists come here at night time to take a glimpse of these iconic structures. Like wise there are many other buildings in this area of similar types and almost all of them are Government offices. It was good that I only had a small handbag, so I could manage to get these pictures. Mumbai is called the city of dreams and many people from other parts of the Country want to come and settle here. Everyone believes that Mumbai city has abundance of opportunities, which to an extent is true, and at the same time, it also makes my city very crowded.
