TTT - Bowie Live

Hello Hive Music Lovers!,

Welcome to another #threetunetuesday created originally by @ablaze.

I can't believe it has been 3 weeks since my last post! It feels just like a blink of an eye but I am glad to be back. This week I bring you 3 tracks from the awesome David Bowie.

For me David Bowie is such a great musical icon with a huge talent and there seems to be something about his live performances, he just oozes charisma.

The first tune is the great tune Modern Love where he performs live. I think he has aged really well and his voice is even more impressive in some of his later performances. If I compare it to the Live Aid performance in 1985, I think he was having an off day there, at least for this song.

This song is pretty well known and symbolises Bowie's style in the 80s and it fits into all collections. What style would you call it?

I remember the song most symbolically from the film The Business which had some great 80s tunes in it.

Modern Love

Bowie has starred in a few films himself, but in my opinion not enough. I think similar to Sting, he has a great on screen presence that would do well in movies. The next tune is another classic from Bowie, Ashes to Ashes where you hear some of his unique voice in action.

It is an awesome live performance. I remember seeing a backstage show with Bowie lining up with other performers duing Live Aid backstage and he always came across as a gentlemen and totally professional.

Throughout his career, Bowie has had a few transformations and you do wonder what guided his earlier songs and decisions.

Ashes To Ashes

The final tune we see Bowie hit it bang off with probably one of his most well known tunes - Heroes.

I really love this track, so uplifting and easy listening.
