Witch Notes: Ostara egg garden fertility spell
Spell magic is one of the most common types of magic. When choosing a spell, it is important to pay attention to the fact that it should not contain requests or calls for harm to someone. I love the spells and rituals associated with the Wheel of the Year holidays. Recently I was given a book "WICCA: Wheel of the Year Magic" by Lisa Chamberlain. I liked one of the rituals and want to share it with you.
Ostara egg garden fertility spell
Many cultures around the world have long traditions of using eggs in magic, for healing, divination, protection and other purposes. Here, the properties of fertility and promise inherent to the egg is combined with the same energies that are so magnified at the height of Spring.
For those already preparing their gardens, this is a highly opportune time to work this spell, as you're already out digging in the soil! Butif you don't have a garden, shift the focus to creating an abundant and thriving home, and bury the egg in your yard.
You will need:
1 hard-boiled egg
Green marker or green paint and brush
Instructions:
Boil the egg with the specific intention for this spell. You might even say a blessing over the water before you start.
When the egg is dry and cool enough, draw a symbol of abundance appropriate to your goal - a flower or other plant, a house, a dollar sign or even the Sun.
Once the symbol is dry, hold the egg in your handand raise it toward the sky. Say the following (or similar) words:
"As the light and warmth increase,
so does the bounty of my life.
So let it be."
Bury the egg in your garden or somewhere near the front door, visualizing golden light radiating from the egg throughout the soil, nourishing the roots of your growing plants or the foundation of your home.
