Reflection of greenery on the canvas of calm water |Reflection Hunters Contest ~ Round 274
Hello Hive Community and Reflection Hunters friends around the world! Hope everyone is healthy.
'Reflection Hunters' is a great contest on this platform, which gives us a chance to see the ordinary scenes around us with a different eye. After hearing the idea of this contest, I decided to participate and in today's round (274), I have appeared with my entry.
(This picture is my original entry)
I went out this afternoon mainly for this contest to hunt for some beautiful reflections. My eyes are always looking for the perfect reflection of nature. When I walked in the afternoon and stood next to a quiet water reservoir in the village, the weather was absolutely strange. There was no movement in the air, no leaves were moving, no waves or tremors on the water. It felt like someone had laid a huge natural mirror on the ground. And this was exactly the scene I was looking for.
You can see in my main entry photo, rows of betel nut trees standing on the other side of the water and some banana trees in front of them. In this stillness of nature, the reflection of the trees on the still water was like a mirror. The long stems of the betel nut trees on the water and the color of the green leaves were so clear that it seemed that another green forest was standing upside down just below the water. Not only the trees, but also the light gray sky behind it seemed to have taken its place on the water. It is always very peaceful to see this perfect parallel form of nature.
I took several photos from different angles and moods for the contest, because the reflections were captured differently from each angle. Those who know my work know that I usually prefer to do macro photography. My main interest is to highlight the details of small insects or flowers at close range. Most of the time, my eyes search for small subjects on the ground or behind leaves. But today, for the purpose of the contest, this huge canvas of nature was presented to me in such a way that I could not help but take pictures of the landscape and reflection. Today, I was looking at the huge mirror of nature, leaving the world of small insects.
The pictures were taken with my smartphone. The true form of nature is so beautiful that I did not feel the need for any special heavy editing. I also took some black and white photos from different angles to test, but I chose this colorful natural picture as the main entry, because the true colors of nature seem the most beautiful to me.
The reflection of the greenery on this still water of the pond was a truly peaceful moment for me. I am really happy to participate in this contest using the tag SMARP (Show Me A Reflection Picture).
Many thanks to Olga (@olgavita) and Melinda (
