Boiled Fried Eggs and Shrimp
Boiled Fried Eggs and Shrimp is a unique twist on classic fried foods. Ingredients
🥚 6 hard-boiled eggs
🦐 10 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
🧂 2 tbsp seasoning blend (salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder)
🟡 1 tbsp yellow mustard
🥛 1 cup buttermilk
🌶️ 1 tbsp hot sauce
🥚 2 eggs (for batter)
🌾 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
🌾 1/2 cup cornstarch
🛢️ Vegetable oil for frying
Dipping Sauce
🥛 1/2 cup mayonnaise
🌶️ 1 tbsp hot sauce
🧄 1 tsp garlic powder
🍋 1 tbsp lemon juice
🧂 Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1- Prepare the Eggs and Shrimp:
• Peel the hard-boiled eggs and pat them dry.
• Season the shrimp with salt, pepper, and paprika.
2- Make the Batter:
• In a bowl, whisk together buttermilk, mustard, hot sauce, and eggs.
• In a separate bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, and seasoning blend.
3- Coat and Fry:
• Dip the eggs and shrimp into the buttermilk mixture.
• Dredge in the flour mixture, ensuring an even coating.
• Heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C) and fry in batches until golden brown and crispy.
• Drain on a wire rack or paper towels.
4- Make the Dipping Sauce:
• In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, hot sauce, garlic powder, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
• Stir until smooth and creamy.
5- Serve:
• Serve hot with dipping sauce and lemon wedges.
