Introducing myself (A Tezos Baker)

Hello, excited to be here!

I'm Leo from Perth, Australia. Currently on holiday in Hsinchu, Taiwan. I run a medium sized Tezos bakery: Money Every 3 Days and am passionate about the cryptocurrency Tezos.

"What's Tezos?" you might ask

A way to store and transfer value that's been methodically designed by computer scientists to be secure and reliable. Transactions on Tezos take about 15 seconds and are final after 30 seconds.

To me, what separates Tezos from the big coins like Bitcoin and Ethereum are:

1. It has on-chain governance which aims to keep decisions decentralised while preventing chain splits (anyone remember the Bitcoin and Ethereum hard forks?)
2. It has a low barrier (6,000 XTZ) to run a validating node (baker)
3. People can earn rewards without having to run a node by withdrawing their coins off exchanges and delegating their stake to a baker, while maintaining full control of their funds
4. The smart contract programming language is designed to minimise bugs so DeFi is much safer than EVM style chains which commonly suffer from catastrophic bugs

They both support delegating/staking your tezos to a baker to earn rewards every 3 days. Rewards arrive about 3 weeks after delegating. If you choose my baker though, make sure you have at least 100 tezos (XTZ).

One of my favourite projects on Tezos is called Youves, which is a synthetic assets platform where you can borrow against your tez or USDt as collateral and earn yield in the native token YOU or several other synthetic assets including uUSD and uBTC.

The YOU token has good tokenomics in my opinion with a halving every year and under 5 million total tokens ever.
