An influential theory among psychologists says that humans are stingy cognitively. This means that humans are reluctant to do work that requires to think, unless it is forced. We try to avoid thinking especially if there is a shortcut to know something. Like if you've chosen a political candidate based on the most honest smile, or when choosing a hotel / restaurant based on how many people have stopped there. Well, it means you've become a stingy person cognitively. Or, if in terms of fellow students (old). "1 year has passed, thesis still stuck in Chapter 1
