Hello Hive. Meet Ruth Chidimma @mmam

Hello hive family! It feels so good to be here. I am @mmam and I am very excited to join this great platform today. I have been hearing about Hive for a while now, but after making further research about it, I found out it's legit and today I have decided to join and become actively involved.

About Myself

I am from Imo State, Eastern Part of Nigeria. I am 24 years of age. I was born and raised in imo State. I did my basic and secondary education in Imo before gaining admission into the University of Nigeria Nsukka in Enough State where I obtained a Bachelor degree in Education Economics with a second class upper level. After my university education I decided not to go back to Imo State but rather headed to Porthercourt to stay to with my sister while waiting for my NYSC call up. In Nigeria, it is necessary to go for NYSC after university even though it is not really compulsory. After few months I was called to serve.

It is a one year program and during this time every qualified individual is sent to another state to serve. In my case I served at Ekiti state, Western part of Nigeria. After my service year I decided not to go back home. I travelled back to Port Harcourt, the southern part of Nigeria to search for employment opportunities.

Life After Service

After searching in different sectors without success I settled with teaching. As an education graduate it was easy to get a job in the sector.I started with teaching the lower basic class one. At first it was really challenging. I honestly wanted to teach the secondary section rather than the little ones because I find it less stressful, but I had no choice than to adjust. Over time I fell in love with teaching young children and today I handle Basic 2 pupils. I have been teaching for 2 years now and it has been a beautiful journey watching these little ones grow and learn every single day.

Life Beyond Classroom

Outside teaching I am also a blogger and I run a Facebook pet grooming page where I occasionally drop some pet grooming tips for pet owners on how to improve in grooming their dogs, yeah it's specifically for dog grooming.

How I Joined Hive

I have been hearing about Hive for a while now from few people around me and immediately went to do my own research. What excited me most was that this is a platform where people share various contents and matters, and as someone who already loves writing and sharing knowledge, I decided to join.

What To Expect From Me

I will be sharing my classroom activities and home activities here, and will also be dropping some pet grooming tips here especially for new dog owners. I will be also be sharing about Nigeria food too. I promise to abide by the policies of the platform and not violate any of the rules and regulations in this platform.
