Toppilansalmi in Oulu (FI) - The Perfect Place to Live

Utopia: A utopia is an imagined community or society that possesses highly desirable or near-perfect qualities for its members. The term was coined by Sir Thomas More in his 1516 book "Utopia," where it referred to a fictional island society with ideal conditions.

So, in the video, you see the Toppilansalmi suburb in Oulu, Finland. It is a fairly new area and heavily developed, from a former industrial area to a flourishing maritime residential area with lush greenery and beaches, and a canal with boat mooring, running through.

This is utopia, I thought, when I rode my bike to Toppilansalmi for the first time. I moved to Oulu in 2018 and left 2022. Even between these dates, I was able to see the rapid construction and development in the area.

This is where I would want to live, when returning to Finland this year.
