En estos días tan caluroso y de intenso sol acostumbramos a tomar bebidas refrescantes, agradables y frías, pero nada como los jugos naturales que son los que más beneficios le aportan al organismo.

Para calmar la sed me propuse hacer una refrescante garapiña, que se confecciona con piñas, ya sea una o varias, según lo que tengan y el uso que le dé a la pulpa.

Esta bebida solo lleva agua y las cáscaras de la fruta, hay quienes le adicionan arroz crudo pero a mí me gusta más su sabor natural.

Se ponen las cáscaras en una jarra o en una olla y se le adiciona agua hasta que las cubran, luego ponemos un paño fino o gasa encima y lo dejamos por un día fuera del refrigerador.

Al día siguiente lo colamos, adicionamos azúcar al gusto y ponemos a enfriar. Puedes adornar con rodajas de piña o simplemente tomarlo así, bien frío, es muy refrescante.

Según el gusto se le adiciona más agua porque a veces queda muy fuerte.

En otros países esta bebida tiene otros nombres, que yo no conozco.
