Home at last
Eight hours is a lot of driving when it is just you and the road.
I had an audiobook playing, so the monotone voice of the narrator kept me company the whole way. But other than that, just dodging other cars and a little rain, finally pulled in to the garage and got a huge welcome home hug from an excited eleven year old. That’s always the best welcome home a guy could ask for.
Came home to a couple of #MR3 prize envelopes, so I’ll need to post about those soon. But for now, it’s time to crash and sleep off the road wear down. Just glad I made the trip today instead of staying over tonight and driving home tomorrow. My own bed is going to be sweet.
