Ethereum Classic (ETC) Hits Two New Exchanges
The Ethereum Classic team has announced the listing of ETC coin on two new exchanges, Coinbene and NovaExchange, in different tweets.
CoinBene, a Singapore based exchange which aims to provide excellent digital financial asset services to its users. The establishment was founded in 2017, now has offices in four countries of the world which include Malaysia, Brazil, India, and Hong Kong.
On the other hand, NovaExchange is based in Sweeden, who initially offered Bitcoin, Litecoin, and Aricoin when it launched in 2016. The cryptocurrency exchange has over ten cryptocurrencies listed at the moment.
In the tweet NovaExchange shared, it didn’t only gave room for the Ethereum Classic alone but also three others namely, Bitcoin Cash, Dash, and Ether.
The ETC came into existence as there was a need to refund stolen funds as a result of a hack in June 2016, when cryptocurrencies worth $50 million were stolen on the Ethereum network. The split was then performed to get the hackers transactions voided. The newer version from the fork was called the Ethereum while the previous version was re-named Ethereum Classic.
As at the time of writing, the ETC cryptocurrency ranks 17th by the data from CoinMarketCap platform, with a $1.5 billion market value. ETC price currently stands at $14.93 which was a result of a 2.16% gain in the past 24hrs.
