Hutchison Effect: Solid Metal Rod Splits apart like Jelly
In this video I have uploaded a rare 1988 clip of the Hutchison Effect in which a solid metal rod loses its rigidity and behaves literally like jelly or Jell-O. The rod oscillates, bends, warps, attracts a metal coin, and splits apart into 3 portion. Interestingly, the two smaller split portions line up parallel at the end. Truly fascinating!
