Such A Long Wait - Potted Blackberrries

The Long Wait...

I planted this blackberry bush last year around end of Summer in a huge pot. This season, the flowers bloom at the same time with the raspberries in May, so far good. Then the raspberries started developing into berries and the blackberries as well, not realizing it would take ages to harvest.

It is simply taking too long to ripe and I am getting impatient now, lol! You see....my container raspberries have long been harvested last June. Yesterday, I tried to pick one of these berries that was black already...Oh man it was so sour (!!!), it was black in color and soft so I tasted it! I thought it was time to harvest, but I was wrong. Oh well, maybe this variety simply takes long to harvest.
