Childhood revisited
I can't begin to tell you how excited I am for this to be happening. The trailer looks amazing and the world where the story takes place is a creative person's dreamland.
I would have to ask my mother when was the first time I was captured by The Dark Crystal. I've loved this movie for so long, that I've been somewhat of a shill for the cult classic for most of my life. To be completely honest, I've purchased the DVD at least 10 times and have gifted it to close friends and family because that is how strongly I feel about the movie.
I've always loved it, not only because of the Henson's genius artistic vision, but also because of the portrayal of the good and evil dichotomy. Yes, there's a ton of philosophy that over the years I've extracted from watching this film, and yes, I am a bit crazy but you knew that already.
Netflix is taking over, and even though I was fearful of them messing up one of my precious childhood memories, they seem to be doing things right. The Trailer looks fantastic, but don't believe me, take a look yourself.
Are you excited too?
