Sailor Neptune 🪞🌊🔱

Hey there!
This is another of these drawings that I have been doing for quite some time haha, well this one isn't as bad as others I've posted before, I started it 5 months ago and just finished it on Saturday.

My friend @brigejm was the model for this Sailor Neptune's interpretation, she's also an illustrator and although @romytokic and I tried to convince her to post here on HIVE well we didn't really succeeded at that, HIVE can be tough on new comers...and she gave up after a couple of posts.

Anyway... I'm guessing you all know who Sailor Neptune is.
Let's contextualize a little bit just in case.

Sailor Moon,[1][2] originally released in Japan as Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon (Japanese: 美少女戦士セーラームーン, Hepburn: Bishōjo Senshi Sērā Mūn) and later as Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon,[3] is a Japanese superhero anime television series produced by Toei Animation using Super Sentai motifs. It is based on the manga of the same title written by Naoko Takeuchi that was published from 1991 to 1997 in Nakayoshi. Sailor Moon first aired in Japan on TV Asahi from March 7, 1992, to February 8, 1997, and was dubbed for release in various regions around the world, including North America, Southeast Asia, Greater China, Australia, Europe, and Latin America.

The series follows the adventures of the titular protagonist whose name is Usagi Tsukino, a middle school student who is given the power to become a Pretty Soldier. The anime also parallels the maturation of Usagi from an emotional middle school girl to a responsible young adult.

Well there is basically one Sailor Scout (Sailor Soldier 🤔) for every Planet from the Solar System (yes including Pluto as it was still considered a Planet back then 😂)

Sailor Neptune (セーラーネプチューン, Sērā Nepuchūn) is a fictional lead character in the Sailor Moon media franchise. Her alternate identity is Michiru Kaiou (海王 みちる, Kaiō Michiru, renamed "Michelle Kaioh" in some English adaptations), a teenage Japanese schoolgirl and violinist. Michiru is a member of the Sailor Soldiers, female supernatural fighters who protect the Solar System from evil.

Introduced in the third story arc, Sailor Neptune fights alongside her partner and lover Sailor Uranus. In both versions of the story she is portrayed as elegant, sophisticated, capable of sharp anger, occasionally cold, and fully dedicated to her duty as a Sailor Soldier. She possesses powers associated with the sea, precognitive ones, as well as powers granted by her magic mirror.

As it says she has water powers, so I painted her doing her main attack which is this burst of water coming out of her mirror-weapon, inspired in what she does in the anime of course.

So yeah, that's who Sailor Neptune is, I hope you like my Illustration and enjoyed my post.

I plan on doing more Sailor Scouts cosplaying friends in the future, which one do you think should be next? haha
