Making Things Simple (part 1)

Hey Everyone!

I've always thought of myself as someone who sucks at stylization and simplification. So, I tried doing it more in hope of sucking less in the future.

So, first I started with a simple sketch (which I don't have a photo of) and refined it until I was happy with the overall shapes and lines.

Then I looked up color palettes using Coolor (the website I've told you about in this post) and went on painting, using the wonderful gift I got from my friend at ANE - ceramics in miniatures. This palette, my friends, is the best thing I've gotten in a while! It's so small and easy to use and just perfect for mixing watercolors! I recommend it to any and all artists!

Anyway :) Of course, I have to mention the inspiration for this drawing. I found the picture on Pinterest and can't find the original but I love these three girls in all their different outfits!
