At this time we will continue the journey to the Sleeping Elephant Hill, after the trip in yesterday's post we told the atmosphere under the foot of the Bukit Barisan, now we will climb with a slightly extreme and uphill journey, and still we are still using our vehicle which we call the Red. faithfully accompany each of our long journeys.

The best view when looking at Lake Toba as a whole is right on this Bobok Elephant hill. Truly a sight that God created perfectly without any flaws. And our job is only to keep this nature healthy without destroying all the beauty that has been created, and we are proud to be part of the North Sumatran community which is full of all its tourist attractions.

This Sleeping Elephant Hill is located in the area of ​​Jalan Raya Merek - Sidikalang, Situnggalingging, Merek, Karo Regency, North Sumatra. Indonesia. And our journey from Medan to the top of the Bobok Elephant Hill took more than 3 hours and the distance required was about 100 Km. A long distance from the city where we live, but very memorable.

Entrance tickets to Bukit Gajah Bobok are charged Rp. 10,000 per person or the equivalent of 1 $ dollar, and if you ask why there is always an entrance fee, because all tourist attractions in Indonesia are paid nothing you can enjoy for free, but with all the views that are presented are very worth it if we spend money like that, plus our residents are always friendly.

At this Sleeping Elephant Hill there is no lodging at all, but you can camp here, catch the sunrise and sunset views so stunningly, with a tent rental fee of Rp. 10,000 per night, and if you want to rent camping equipment with complete equipment here, it is provided with a rental service fee of Rp. 120,000 or the equivalent of $12 Dollars. There is also a canteen that provides simple warm food and drinks, as well as toilets.

If you have time to explore Lake Toba, don't miss to wear warm clothes or a thick jacket, because even though the weather is hot there, the wind blows quite hard, and the air in this area is cold enough to make our ears hurt because of the air pressure.

At the Sleeping Elephant Hill Tourism Object, you can also do tracking by climbing a small hill that is there and of course the resulting view is much more beautiful and amazing. But to reach the top of the Bobok Elephant hill you have to be very careful because of the steep terrain, and the road conditions are not yet asphalted and of course the winding roads are a little extreme to pass, especially for 2-wheeled and 4-wheeled vehicles, because if you are not smart your strategy can be derailed.
