Why Most People Prefer Onsite Than Remote Work

Recently i have been talking about job and also the difference between the benefits which the remote and physical job has on individual. Now i always see the reason most people won’t prefer remote job than physical.

Remote work stand a chance as at 2020 and now over 5 years it has already been accepted by various organizations but even at that about 45 to 50 percent of people still love the physical job which is known as onsite because most do not love staying indoor all the time and they just prefer going out in the morning and coming back in the evening when everybody else are also coming back from work even though the pay is not that good they just want people to know that they are always going to work and Not idle.

Does that mean those who stay indoor to work are lazy?

There is this belief that the onsite job is a big factor for them to connect socially and seeing each other is a fast means of connecting rather than the aspect of remote work where you might be working for years and still not know your other colleagues in reality or visual.

As remote work sound so flexible, it is somehow stressful in some aspect. We all know that most physical work is from 9 to 5 and why this one is different is that you can work at any time and still get to do some adjustment even around 9pm at night when work seems to have come to an end. You can get a mail at odd hour which you will just have to check it out to make sure everything is in place, this is not an issue for someone who have active internet connection and also constant electricity.

As a remote worker, you have to set your own schedule because it is very flexible and you need to know how to manage different distractions like noise from neighbourhood trying to stay in a quiet and conducive environment where everything is not sure to be 100 percent. The aspect of noise in some area can be very challenging because you can’t just attack neighbours not to talk that is why as a remote worker you need to make your own personal research when hunting for house.

As a remote worker, you need to set up your work space in your own convenience because that is a way to work easily and you need your equipment to do more work like laptop which is needed to have good working ram that prevent lagging when used for series of work now the aspect of electricity or any means that can make your equipment power. I remembered one of my friend who work remotely and he got a job but the sad part of it was that he didn’t use up to 2 month in the job because of electricity.

He was given a task to do for a client and he could not meet up due to the fact that there was electricity issue and that made the company loose the client so he was also fired and since then he has been trying to get a better place where there is electricity. So most remote worker you need lot of resources and equipment. A good network connection that do not lag during calls also a device that do not deliver work slowly.

But even with all i still go with the remote work because i work at my own convenience that struggling to wake up everyday to go to work.
