Why Eric Garner Died
Eric Garner was arrested selling loose cigarettes outside a corner store (that sold cigarettes). The corner store owner called the police. When the police came Garner resisted arrest and was taken to the ground (standard procedure for someone refusing to be arrested).
He died from having a heart attack and an asthma attack simultaneously. He was in poor health, that’s why he died.
I'm not saying he deserved to die. I'm just saying him dying had zero to do with the police arresting him and all to do with his poor decision making.
