WEEK OF REFLECTION, REPENTANCE AND PREPARATION
Hello darling friends of Hive. It's been a bit long. My life has been filled with so many activities that I only check my appearance in the mirror and head for the door.
But today, after waking up feeling well rested and refreshed after a pleasant night's sleep. Due to the fact that I woke up late, I couldn't carry out my chores as I had to rush to catch up for Mass.
I believe we all know today is Palm Sunday, which is the Sunday that begins the Holy week leading us to Easter. Palm Sunday marks Jesus' triumphal entry to Jerusalem. At his entry, crowds were waving and laying palm branches on the ground as He rode into the city on a donkey.
According to the Gospels, the significance of Jesus getting into the city with a donkey teaches humility while the crowd waving and laying of palm branches stands for triumph and Christ's victory.
In Christian faith, Palm
Sunday is the starting of Jesus' journey towards the cross when he will lay down his life for salvation of mankind.
In my parish, we celebrated the palm Sunday where the palm branches were blessed and shared to all parishioners. We waved these palms as we processed as a symbol of our faith and commitment to Jesus. This is a time for reflection, true repentance and preparation for the celebration of our Lord's resurrection.
