Entry for the Shadow Contest/SMASh 379
When we speak of shadows, we are talking about two things coming together to tell an great story.
Shadow and light walk like two best friends together, they create beautiful moments that words alone cannot tell.
I planted an aloe vera in a bowl, and one Sunday afternoon, its shadow gave birth to this story. The beauty of the aloe vera itself cannot be hidden, but what caught my attention was its shadow on the floor, it looked just like a piece of drawn art.
Nearby, there’s another bowl, filled with soil. While the first shadow is already nurtured, I’m still hoping the second bowl will one day sprout. I hope that soon, I will not only snap the bowl alone but capture it with the shadow of something fully grown.
Lastly, there’s the shadow of a friend standing nearby. His shadow was clearly seen on the tarred road, with both hands curved around his smartphone.
