Snow Removal Again

We've had significant snowfall this weekend. Hence the need for snow removal.

About 15 cm of snow

When I was done, I needed to grit the driveway and the walkways because the surfaces were partially icy underneath the snow. The property owner is always responsible for getting it done or making arrangements for it. If the mailman or the garbage collector or any visitor (*) falls because of a lack of maintenance, the property owner is liable for the damage incurred. That could be broken bones, head injuries or any other injuries rendering the injured incapable of working. That could amount to some serious money.

*) I doubt, though, that a burglar, even when caught, would be able claim compensation for lost income or even injuries.
