Hello World!
Hi everyone, I'm new to this social platform so I'd like to present and tell a little of myself ☺️
My name's Marco, I'm a (not too young) guy that lives in Tuscany, Italy, together with my wife and two children. I'm graduated in computer science at the University of Pisa and specialised in Linux and cyber security, which are my main interests in the IT field. Despite this, I've never worked in the IT industry as my main job, which instead is administrative clerk. It would be long to explain the reasons here so I'll do it in a later post. Meanwhile, I've started working as a freelance IT security consultant in my (little) spare time to gain some practical experience in the field. The matter is that this second job is sporadic, mainly because the awful economic situation in Italy that limits a lot the potential clients and the consulting opportunities.
I've also had the chance to author a book on wireless penetration testing and a video course on digital forensics for a well known IT publishing company and to write articles for magazines and blogs.
Apart from IT, my passions are listening to music (rock and metal in particular but also blues, jazz and classical), high-end audio, sports (skiing, swimming, soccer and tennis), travelling and reading good books.
On this platform, I would like to share with the community thoughts, opinions, ideas and information about my interests and, why not, about what's going on in my country and in the world.
Stay tuned, bye! ☺️
