With The Vacation Behind Me

A frame from last week when I was still on my windy seaside vacation to the South-East.

Aperture F 4; Shutter Speed 1/8000 sec.; ISO 200; Focal Length 70 mm.

Sometimes, I just like them natural lines and patterns. No other story here but the jagged shadow drawing a nice diagonal down to the line of the wave.

This is the quiet corner of the bay. Behind rocks that were there to break the surf. The rest of the coast was in an uproar of a kind. At least, far from calm.

With that time behind me now I turn back to organizing footage material, writing a few articles, and planning another lesson for my blog here and for my personal website...

...But first, there are repairs to be done at home.

Today, I have been working on the shower battery which was rigged to work, but barely for...as long as a year and a couple of months now. High time to take care of it.

As the tradition says, I must not look for another man's services. I must become a plumber today. And then, when I mess things up...if I mess things up, then I must look for a specialist and in a hurry. Singularity was reached. The old rigged piece of the shower system will no longer work. So, I am either fixing it all today, or there shall be no water in any controlled manner. A fountain, perhaps ;)

The small plastic thingie that consists of at least 10 elements and regulates the flow of water was...one mm taller than the original one that had to be replaced. So, somebody is trying to file away some plastic until that somebody can put the screw on top as it was. And then...we shall see.

I hope it doesn't come to breaking the wall terracotta plates which cover the pipes and the access to removing the whole battery. Beautiful design the previous owners had in mind but certainly not easy to fix anything once the expensive modern trash is done for.

Well, never fear the bear! Let's get back to it!
