Thandai Indian Drink

This delicious home-made Thandai is very tasty, which is much better than the ready mix available in the market. Milk flavored with almonds and spices, this is a great drink to serve on Thandai special days and festivals like Holi and Diwali. The aroma of fennel, cardamom, black pepper and saffron completely dissolves with boiled milk and adds flavor to your home.

Preparation Time: 5 mins Cooking Time for 4 glasses

Material
• 9 1/2 cups fat milk, boiled and cooled
• 1/4 cup powdered sugar
• A pinch of freshly ground black pepper
• Some saffron flakes

To make a soft powder by grinding
• 1/4 cup almonds
• 2 tbsp poppy seeds
• 2 tbsp fennel seeds
• 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
• 20 white pepper

Method

1. Combine the prepared powder and milk in a deep bowl and whisk well using a paste and keep them in the fridge for 2 hours.
2. Sieve the mixture with a sieve, add sugar, pepper powder and saffron and mix well.
3. Pour the same amount of cooling into 4 different glasses and serve cold.
