Probamos el jamón del diablo argentino / We tried the Argentine ‘Devil’s Ham’

Ever since I was a little girl, eating bread or arepas with what’s known as ‘diablitos’ (or ‘devil’s ham’) was so commonplace that, when we emigrated, I longed to be able to do this regularly, or for my children to experience that same taste sensation from my childhood.

When we emigrated, the possibility of recreating those afternoon snacks of bread with ‘diablitos’ or a breakfast of warm arepas with this ingredient, or the little sandwiches handed out at parties or school gatherings, remained merely a memory. However, a few years ago, a friend who had also emigrated to Argentina brought me a tin, and I savoured every bite.

So when I spotted this product, which looks similar, on the supermarket shelf, I first asked around for reviews before making the purchase, but as nobody had tried it, I was the one who had to take the plunge and buy it.

Honestly, it was a pleasant experience, but I’d encourage anyone who hasn’t tried it not to let the curiosity get the better of them… As for the rest, I’ll tell you all about it in the video…
