A puppy called Hercules

My son was afraid of dogs, even if they were puppies, and I love them madly (I am #teamdog) and being the youngest among the cousins, who were already in their teens, he had no one to play with. Besides, his shyness slowed him down a lot when it came to joining groups of children his own age, so I thought that the best way to help him in his "loneliness" was to have a pet.

And so Hercules came home. A co-worker of mine had a newborn puppy and she brought to the office two of them to offer them when they were already one month old.

I immediately fell in love with him and set him aside to buy him. The following month we went to pick him up, as we respected his weaning process.

He turned out to be a balm for everyone at home, he welcomed my second son and accompanied him on his evening walks with his stroller.

When we emigrated, we had to give him away, and with him a little piece of my soul went there....

Mi hijo le tenía miedo a los perros, así fueran cachorros, y yo en cambio los amo con locura (soy #teamperro) y siendo el más pequeño entre los primos, que ya estaban en plena adolescencia, no tenía con quien jugar. Además su timidez lo frenaba mucho al momento de integrarse en grupos de niños de su misma edad, por lo que pensé que lo mejor para ayudarlo en su "soledad" era tener una mascota.

Y fue así que llegó Hércules a casa. Una compañera de trabajo tenía una perrita recién parida y llevó dos cachorros para ofrecerlos cuando ya tenían un mes.

Yo me enamoré inmediatamente de él y lo aparté para comprarlo. Al mes siguiente lo fuimos a buscar, pues respetamos su proceso de destetado.

Resultó ser un bálsamo para todos en casa, recibió a mi segundo hijo y lo acompañó en sus paseos vespertinos junto a su cochecito.

Al emigrar, tuvimos que regalarlo, y con él se fue un pedacito de mi alma...
