PLEASE UPDATE ME

Am new on this platform.

I joined first couple of months back but i forgot to save my password so i had to open a new account

All i know about steemit is that it works like social media when you post articles, journals, pictures, videos but then make money from it

I have this question "what am i suppose to just post materials alone and just stand and wait to make money?"

What else is to be done after you post materials?
