Baguio City Gong Festival 2022

The month of October was dedicated as indigenous people's month in the Philippines. Many activities were hosted and joined in by schools and communities across the country. In Baguio City, which is part of the Cordillera region, one of the activities held was the 10th Gong Festival. It was scheduled on 29 October at Rose Garden in Burnham Park. However, due to the typhoon #PaengPH (international name Nalgae), the event was transferred to a mall rooftop.

The festival was entitled "A Decade of Cultural Resilience." Many participants presented different types of cultural dance that depict the lives of indigenous Cordilleran people in the past. It was apparent from the performers the different tribes they represent judging from their attire.
