A traditional and old technique for making colored eggs
Hello friends. I hope you are well
Tonight I want to show you how to prepare and decorate eggs
One of the old traditions of our country is to prepare "Haft-sin or Haft-seen"
When the New Year comes (like Christmas and the beginning of the year), a tablecloth or cloth is spread on the floor or on the table. Items that start with the letter "س" are placed on the table, each of which has a special meaning. The letter "س" in English is the equivalent of the letter "S".
In fact, the "Haft-sin" is a collection of seven symbolic things whose names begin with the letter "Sin" (Like S)and are traditionally displayed on Nowruz, the Iranian New Year.
One of the ingredients they put on the table is colored eggs
Colored eggs give a special beauty to the table and show our artistry.
One of the oldest and most traditional ways to dye eggs is to use red onion skin.
In the coming days, I will talk about Haft Sin in another post.
Items needed:
Raw eggs: a few
Threads and scissors
Red or yellow onion
Water and pot: to boil eggs
Steps:
Peel an onion and then carefully place each egg in some onion skin so that the entire surface of the egg is covered with the onion, then wrap the yarn around it.
Then put the eggs in a pot filled with water to boil (about 10 to 20
Minutes are enough)
After 10 to 20 minutes, remove the eggs from the water and untie the thread around the egg
Your colored eggs are ready
