My Sunday Afternoon Meal

Yesterday, Sunday 14th of August, 2022 I left home quite early and in a hurry for Church Service but unfortunately, I forgot my wallet at home. Wow, what a way to start my day, I had to plead with the "Okada Man" (which is another name for motorcyles in Nigeria) to allow me get his money from someone in church. With that settled, I rushed back to settle down for service, I must confess I was not settled all through, I was a bit distracted - poor me.

Eventually, the Church service was over, I was about stepping out when I was called back for an impromptu meeting which lasted for several hours, to say I was famished will be an understatement as I am a very shy person, if you know what that means.

Finally, all was done and I was thinking of what to fix as I was the only one at home, I went into the kitchen with the speed of light and looked around; there and then I decided to prepare fried ripe plantain popularly known as "dodo". The worms in my tummy are already grumbling, I had a left over locust bean stew.

To cut the long story short, within a twinkle of an eye, what you can see in the picture was ready which I consumed voraciously.

The fun part of my story is, all-through my preparing this meal, I didn't pull off the clothes I wore to church 😄 😁
